I have recently discovered a new favourite eyebrow product that I wanted to review and decided while I was at it, maybe I should just tell you about my latest routine!
So, I like most people think the eyebrows are an essential part of any make up look, lets face it if they aren’t groomed and looked after they can look awful. Now I know filled in eyebrows aren’t for everyone, but for my everyday look I try to make them look as natural as possible.
To do this I use a powder and a brow gel. Now I must admit I go through phases of powder, pencils and pomade’s! But for my natural everyday brows my favourite is powder and gel. I will only generally now reach for my pomade if I want a super strong brow for a certain make up look.
To create the brows you see in the picture above I use L’Oreal Brow Artist Genius kit (click here) in the shade light to medium and my latest find is the Essence Make Me Brow (click here) in the shade blondy brows.
The Genius kit comes with the cutest pair of tweezers, and a small angled brush with a spooly, a wax that they say holds for 12 hours and a powder. I haven’t used the wax as of yet because I like gels. But the powder is a good colour and has great pigmentation. You can definitely build the colour to make your brows as natural or as bold as you prefer.
The Essence Make me brow is definitely a love of mine that I will re purchase, I have seen many compare it to the Benefit Gimme Brow. The brush is a good size and quite firm which makes application a breeze. It coats my hairs with fibres and makes them stand out which all works towards the natural look. I don’t have any problems with smudging which I have had with previous brow gels that I had tried which led me to only use transparent gels. This is a super find for me and is such a great price.
I would love to know if you use either of these products and what your thoughts are.
